RefWorks have informed us that they will no longer support some some systems:

What do I need to know about TLS 1.0 and 1.1 end of support?

  • Starting June 1, 2021, WnC will support TLS 1.2 only. WnC will not work with TLS 1.0 or 1.1.

Installing RefGrab-It for IE version 9

We've had a report of  problems trying to install RefGrab-It with Internet Explorer version 9.  RefWorks say that you can get around this, by using "compatibility mode" in IE9. The easiest way to do this is to access the Tools menu in IE9, and then select the Compatibility View option so that a checkmark appears next to the entry on its left.

This will be addressed in an update to the program in the near future.

Issues adding/editing references in Internet Explorer 9

RefWorks have advised us that there are some problems for Internet Explorer 9 users adding and editing references, particularly when trying to cut and paste text - if this affects you, you can use what is known as "compatibility mode" in IE9. Select the Tools menu in IE9, and then select the Compatibility View option so that a checkmark appears next to the entry on its left.

Alternatively, you can use a different browswer, such as Firefox.

RefWorks are aiming to fix this bug early in the new year.
