RefWorks workshops at Polhill, 27th November & 4th December

There will be 2 'drop-in' workshops for RefWorks this term. The workshops will cover creating an account, importing references from DISCOVER, the Library Catalogue and the web and creating a bibliography. Also a chance to deal with any RefWorks related questions you may have.

There's no need to book just turn up if you're interested. Dates and times are:

• Tuesday, 27th November. 1.00 - 2.00 in Polhill Library IT Training Suite 2
• Tuesday 4th December. 1.00 - 2.00 in Polhill Library IT Training Suite 2.

Monday, 3rd September 10.30 - 12.00, Bedford Polhill Library IT Training Suite 2. RefWorks: An introduction to RefWorks for new users & a refresher for those who already have accounts

Also running, 

• Tuesday, 18th September 10.30 - 12.00, Bedford Polhill Library IT Training Suite 1. Doing A Literature Review. How to research & review the literature on your chosen topic, using a clear methodology, selecting your inclusion/exclusion criteria, critical analysis etc.
• Tuesday, 25th September 10.30 - 12.00, Bedford Polhill Library IT Training Suite 1. Finding Research Material. How to find academic research material, choosing keywords, searching tips. A general help session on any dissertation related queries you may have.

 There's no need to book, just 'drop in' for a while if you'd like some help / have any questions re: researching your dissertation.

RefWorks drop in sessions at Polhill Library in July

RefWorks Basics - Learn how to set up a RefWorks account, add references manually or import them directly from the Library Catalogue, Ebscohost Research Databases, organise your references into folders and create a bibliography in the correct style. Tuesday, 10th July, 10.30 - 12.00, Polhill Library IT Training Suite 1.

RefWorks Advanced - Learn how to import references directly from Google Scholar, download RefGrab-it and import references directly from webpages, download Write-N-Cite and create in-text citations, share folders etc. Tuesday, 17th July, 10.30 - 12.00, Polhill Library IT Training Suite 1.

RefWorks sessions at Bedford Polhill library in March

There are going to be some Refworks drop-in clinics at Bedford Polhill library, on Monday 19^th March, Monday 26^th March and Wednesday 28^th March. More information here.

RefWorks training Monday 19th December cancelled

The RefWorks Workshop scheduled for Monday 19th December at 11.00 am at Polhill Library is now cancelled. Work will be carried out to upgrade the Libraries' systems at this time making the Library Catalogue & other electronic resources unavailable until 12 noon that day.

More workshops will be held in the New Year and details will be posted here.

All workshops are optional, there's no need to book - just turn up!

There will be two RefWorks workshops at the Bedford, Polhill Library in ICT Training Suite 1 (top floor). Dates & times are:

• Monday, 5th December 11.00-12.00

(If you are a level 1 student you must have attended at least one session on the British Harvard Standard of Referencing. If you know nothing about referencing RefWorks will make no sense at all to you!)
