No access to RefWorks
The server which manages access to UK Access Management Federation
resources is down, which means there is no access via UK Access
Management Federation links. This includes RefWorks and all our
Dawsonera ebooks. We have reported the problem and hope to have it fixed
as soon as possible.

Update: RefWorks "Go to Page" Feature
From the RefWorks Community blog:
At the request of users, RefWorks has added a “go to page” feature to simplify the process of sorting through references. Now users have the ability to quickly jump to a specific page, and they no longer have to scroll through numerous pages when searching for references in their personal library. Simply type a page number in the box provided (e.g. page 217 seen below), and you can go directly to the page you need to view.

RefWorks mobile - not supported for University of Bedfordshire users
RefWorks do have a mobile version - RefMobile. However, it does not support Shibboleth authentication, which is what the University of Bedfordshire uses to enable you to log in with your university username and password. RefWorks have told us that they have no plans to make this available. (You can contact support@refworks.com if you have any comments to make about this.) You can still use RefWorks on your phone or tablet, but you will have to use the Desktop Version link, and then My Institution's Credentials (Shibboleth).

RefWorks downtime 16th February 3am - 11am
On 16th February RefWorks will be making some improvements to their internal systems, which will mean that access to RefWorks will be disrupted between 3am and 11am:
'During this time period RefWorks users can expect sporadic availability, including short periods of complete downtime. We anticipate that access issues and possible functionality problems will last anywhere from 3 to 15 minutes. If you experience issues with RefWorks during this maintenance window we recommend that you close your browser session, and return to RefWorks at a later time.'

RefWorks login problem - blank accounts
There seems to be a widespread problem today (7th January) with users logging
into RefWorks and finding their references have disappeared - this has been
reported by a number of universities this afternoon and we've had a couple
reported too.
If you already have a RefWorks account, and you are prompted to create a new one - don't do it. Report the problem to us and try RefWorks again later.
If your account has been affected please email us with your name and student ID number and we'll investigate with RefWorks.
