Exporting multiple citations from Google Scholar (if you have a Google Account)

  • Go to Google Scholar and sign into your Google Account.
  • Search.
  • Click on the Star icon (Save) under each reference you want to export.


















  • Then click on My Library in the top, right of the screen.



  • Select all the references and click on the Export option:

















  • Choose the RefMan option.
  • Save the RIS file that is created.
Depending on which version of RefWorks you are using, either
  • select “References/Import” from the toolbar and then select RIS as the data source (Legacy RefWorks, orange logo)  








 or
  • select the Plus icon, Import References (New RefWorks, blue logo)

Google Scholar and RefWorks


You can import references directly from Google Scholar into RefWorks, but you'll need to go into Google Scholar Options to see the import link.  Click on the icon at the top right, then scroll down to Bibliography Manager and set as follows:



When you go back to your results list you'll see a link "import into RefWorks" for each item. 

While you're in Options, go to Library Links and use Find Library to choose University of Bedfordshire:



Now you'll see a "Bedfordshire Access" link wherever the University has full-text access to the article.
