RefWorks update - Refworks is available again, but you may have to re-associate your account with your email address

We're pleased to report that RefWorks have fixed the problem. The first time you log in again you may be asked to enter your email address (your UoB email address, ending @study.beds.ac.uk)











You will then get an email from RefWorks with a link to click. Once you've done this, you should be able to access RefWorks as usual. If you have any problems, let us know.

RefWorks downtime 15 October 2022

RefWorks have planned maintenance from 19:00 to midnight on Saturday 15th October. 

During this window RefWorks will be unavailable. RefWorks Citation Manager and the RefWorks GoogleDocs plug-in will not be available. Write-n-Cite will be available offline, but users will not be able to sync their references with RefWorks.
All existing references will be maintained and available at the end of the maintenance window.

Legacy RefWorks is being retired

The Legacy (old) version of RefWorks will no longer be available from 1st September 2022.  If you are using this version, you must upgrade your account to the newest version of RefWorks, or you will lose your references.  To do this, you can click on the Upgrade button in your RefWorks account:







Follow the on-screen instructions to copy your references to the newest version of RefWorks.  You can find more information here.

If you are not sure which version you are on, look at the logo at the top left of the screen. If it looks like this 





you are already using new RefWorks and do not need to do anything.

If it looks like this





you are using the old version and will need to upgrade your account.

RefWorks access - at risk period for Legacy Refworks

We are currently trying to solve some continuing issues with access to RefWorks. As a result, we may need to temporarily shut off access to Legacy RefWorks at times during the next two weeks. Please contact us at library.technical@beds.ac.uk if you discover access problems.

We would encourage users to switch to the main version of RefWorks, as we are not sure how long it will be possible to continue supporting Legacy Refworks. RefWorks login problem

We are currently having an issue where RefWorks asks you to input your email address, sends you a confirmation email, but you are then unable to get past this page



We do not yet know how many users this is affecting - we would love to hear from you if it has happened to you or if you are able to access RefWorks as usual - contact us at library.technical@beds.ac.uk. We are trying to get this fixed as soon as possible.
