Allowing pop-ups from selected sites in Chrome

If you're using Chrome and don't want to allow pop-ups from all sites, you can allow them from the sites you want to import from:

When Google Chrome blocks pop-ups, a small blue and white icon with a red "X"on it appears in the far right side of the address bar.

If you click on this icon, you can select the box to "Always allow pop-ups" from the site you're on.

Exporting from EJS

Theoretically there should be a direct export option from EJS. In practice this may not work, so you can export using the text box method by doing the following:

1. When viewing an article, click on the button which says 'Export to Citation Manager'.
2. In the dialogue box, click to save the file. The file should have with a '.RIS' extension - open it.
3. In RefWorks, go to References > Import.
4. Select Import filter as 'RIS Format' and database as 'RIS Format (UTF-8) for EBSCO'.
5. Click on 'From text' and copy and paste the contents of the .RIS file into the box.
6. Click on Import.

New output style for annotated bibliographies

We have a new output style available if you want to create an annotated bibliography - it has an extra field, "personal note", that you can use for anything you want to say about your citation. To start using it, go to Bibliography, Output style manager, and select "Harvard - UoB - Annotated bibliography" from the list of output styles on the left, then click the green arrow to put it into your list of favourite styles. Then when you go to create a bibliography, it should appear in the list of styles available for you to use.
